Anne Stephenson
Drag to set position!
Anne left the rank and file of corporate America to pursue her creative interests in photography. A communicator at heart, she wanted to develop her visual skills to equal that of her writing and start her own company incorporating both.
Through The Art Institute’s digital photography program, she is discovering her passion and vision for transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary, utilizing composition and lighting skills, and capturing both the moment and the emotion to tell a story. Her interests now include commercial, food, macro, architecture and portrait photography.
Three of Anne’s photographs from 2009 exhibited at Monumental: A Show About Big Things, Lakewood, Colorado, juried by Gallery Owner and Installation Artist, Phil Bender. Bender was named Artist of the Year, 2008 by Denver Post art critic Kyle MacMillan. Anne also recently was awarded Second Place in The Art Institute’s Scholarship Program, Winter 2011.
Anne earned her Bachelor’s of science degree from Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, double majoring in chemistry and professional writing. She has held marketing, editorial and public relations positions in various technical industries, most recently as a senior marketing communications manager for a Fortune 500 Company in Colorado that manufactured water analysis instrumentation. She and her husband Scott currently live in Riverton.
