I have a deathly fear of bees
I have a natural ballet 'turn-out' position. Most people think I walk like a duck
I use to hate my freckles when I was young, but now love them
I hate people calling me 'dude'
I have never been bitten by a spider or a snake or a horse or a dog
i never say 'cheers' at the end of a conversation or email

Carolyn's digital macro shots of flowers and bees are truly inspirational. This woman knows her way around pixel manipulation and digital photo enhancement better than anyone.
Carolyn is someone I have nver met in person but can already tell we would get along swimingly. I know this because she is sick in the head as much as i am so that tends to make people become good friends. As for her photography? Pure rubbish. awwww kidding. She is aces, or crickets, or whatever the kids are saying to … Read more

Carolyn is someone whose energy, curiosity and passion come through strongly even in her "virtual" form. She is always experimenting, always testing her limits. Her photographs demonstrate her constant growth as an artist, a skill she has honed both by shooting and by immersing herself in the work of others. The result of the latter is one of the best pools on Flickr. The result of the former is a growing body of work that isn't just a collection of images, but a complex and satisfying portrait of the artist that deserves to be looked at whole.
Read lessCarolyn you're one of my first inspirations in photography (really!). So what can I say, except that it's all your fault!!! ;) ... and thanks again for the invite here to Flickr!!! alex
Carolyn walks alone through the streets, capturing moments of truth and beauty and unvarnished life. Her soul is magnificent. As is her beauty.
ANNA:poet is really an elf. How else to account for all that magic and loveliness? I tell you this: she is a tide. And she will move you.
she's cheeky.
big time yesssssssssssss........
The term 'creative' starts and ends with Carolyn, it's true. But there's a more important factor in her work that makes it impossible to ignore and imperative to follow: HONESTY. The term 'creative' starts and ends with Carolyn, it's true. But there's a more important factor in her work that makes it impossible to ignore and imperative to follow: HONESTY. Everything she shoots, whether on the street or in the bedroom, exhibits brazen honesty; you know what you're getting is exactly what 'it' is. She becomes your eye, leading you in to a world that you cannot possibly share otherwise, and dares you to blink. Carolyn is a warm, caring, passionate and complicated woman. Follow her down the path. You'll love it.

It’s illegal to write most of the things I have to say about Carolyn. As for her photography, her black and white compositions sting one with fine-tuned sadness. The prosaic and mundane captured as it is, with no exceptional technique or special effects. Yet her photos are so personal and moving, they manage to communicate an elusive emotion as only a good photograph (or music) can: without words, without absolutes, and with plenty of grey.
