Anna Mae Abia is the creative director of AMA Studio, a visual communications agency based in Vancouver, Canada. The agency creates socially responsible strategies that aligns the business goals of clients, businesses, and non-profits to help them tell their stories and grow within the global community.

 

As a young girl, Anna Mae immigrated to Canada with her family from the Philippines. She has since travelled and studied abroad extensively, introducing her to the many issues that affect disadvantaged communities in both developed and developing countries. She continually strives to collaborate with individuals and organizations around the world on issues regarding women and girls, education, community engagement, accessibility, public transportation, sustainability, nutrition, and entrepreneurship.

 

Anna Mae is an advocate for combining design thinking and marketing strategies to create significant social impact. She has completed multiple business and graphic design programs at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and was a selected participant in Impact! Design for Social Change, a graduate-level summer intensive program at the School of Visual Arts in New York. The perpetual student, Anna Mae remains curious about the world around her and thoroughly enjoys continuing her education.
