Photography to me is the ultimate blend hobby. I blend photography with some other passion like travel, people, birds, nature, astronomy. Photography focuses my mind to the here and now. I find myself appreciating sunsets, birds in formation, pretty flowers, moon and stars. I am sure there is some philosophy that a good photographer is in a "ready" state, planning her shot while still taking in everything, and ready to snap a picture at the right moment.

I started building my Flickr portfolio in December 2008. Most of my public photos are here. Hope you enjoy them and thank you for visiting.

I frequently use Canon Rebel Xti (aka 400D), Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, Canon 70-200mm F4L, Canon 50mm f1.4, Speedlite 430EX, Feisol standard tripod and Kirk BH-3 ballhead. I post-process with Canon DPP, Neat Image, and Photoshop. I occassionally shoot with my wife's Canon SD750 (and previously A95) when traveling light.
