Mid forties (crikey, that came quick...) programme manager in a large telecommunications company. Originally from Essex but have lived in Cardiff since 1995, and was also at university here between '86 and '90. Married with two sons who are both hurtling headlong for teenage.

When I was young my father taught me how to process black and white film, and we were lucky enough to have a permanent darkroom at home. Lack of time and space wouldn't permit that now, so the advent of reasonably priced digital SLR's came at just the right time.

Photography and playing the guitar are the creative outlet I have to balance the technical nature of my job. I've become very good at acquiring kit for both hobbies, but talent seems to be that little bit more elusive...
