My name is Anja Dijkstra. I was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 1957.

In 2005 I bought my first camera, a Konica Minolta Dimage Z2 and discovered a whole new world. And at that time photography became my passion. A few months later I bought a Konica Minolta dslr camera which created the opportunity for me to make more out of my photography. Now I use a Sony Alpha 700 dslr. I use several lenses: a Sony 18-70 f 3.5-5.6, a Tamron 18-200 3.5-5.6, a Sigma 70-300mm F4.0-5.6 APO and a Sigma 100 mm f 2.8.

And sometimes I use a Canon G12.

Nature, landscape and macro photography are my favorite subjects. I am also interested in architecture and streetphotography. I try to explore new area's and expand my photography skills.

Most of my pictures are taken in my own surroundings.
