I am an ever-expanding galaxy of my own creation. People fuel it, technology amplifies it, the natural world grounds it. I live in the swirl of phrases such as "new media ecology," "computational world," and "rise of smart machines and systems." I am comfortable in that world and I revel in how it transforms my teaching, my sense of place, and my carry-on luggage (e-reader instead of piles of books!) But at the end of the day, I want to invite you into my kitchen, cook for you, and have a conversation face to face. My passion for marrying the two spheres of community drives my life work.
