I'm a journalist by trade but enjoy shooting from time to time as well. My Flickr stream is both a photo journal and a vehicle for practice and experimentation.

All the photos in this stream were taken by myself, except for the few with me in them.

From mid-February 2008 onward, I've been using a Canon EOS 400D digital SLR. I just use two lenses, the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 and the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II.

Older photos were taken with point-and-shoots, and the oldest ones are scanned prints. I sometimes use Photoshop Elements for editing, but am generally not much of a fan of heavily manipulated images so don't do a lot of it myself.

I worked in Hanoi, Vietnam for several years and that's why some of the descriptions are in Vietnamese as well as English. Though the VNese may be a little "hỏng" (broken) in places.
