Hi

I use a Canon 450D with kit lenses. I also at times enjoy using Tokina 11/16mm, Canon 50m 1.8, and Canon 100mm IS Macro lenses. I've also a Canon 7d and Sigma 120-400mm lens in the kit. Anything that is shopped or altered is tagged so, or is noted in the description. otherwise it is all straight off camera.

I am currently running a 'sister' photostream, to concentrate solely on my interest in NZ natives, particularly NZ flora. You can find it at flickr: nznatives [Ang Wickham], or, at:

www.flickr.com/photos/angsnznature

I do appreciate any requests to use my pics and reserve the right to copyright.

Anything and everything is possible.

Please pick up your copy here for display on your profile.

Ang was one of my first contacts when I joined Flickr a year ago and has regularly followed my stream ever since. Her valued comments are always relevant and insightful, never lazy or predictable. You’ll see a great variety of work on Ang’s stream. What I love most of all though are her close-up shots of subjects that many others would simply not consider shooting, showing off wonderful miniature worlds and environments that are quite out of the ordinary. And if you love bokeh, you’ll be in your absolute element…!! I came on to Flickr essentially as a landscape photographer whose lens was rarely set at an aperture wider than f11. Ang has helped to inspire me to free myself from that rut and to fuel an obsession with shallow depth of field that has added a welcomed new dimension to my own work. It is rare to come across someone who is both an inventive photographer and also an excellent “Flickr Friend” who shows an interest that goes far beyond the ordinary Contact relationship. Those who have Ang as a Contact are very lucky indeed. Apologies that I won’t be around as much going forward. When I do log in to Flickr, visiting your stream will certainly be a priority. A huge thanks for all your support and kind words over the past 12 months…

What do you say about a girl called Ang? Well she is the flickr Queen of Bokeh for one thing.... terrific control of depth, giving her the ability to draw you into an image in a way few people achieve. She allows the small details of our world to take center stage in her photography, finding beauty and interest in things many of us would never notice. But there is more to Ang than just a pretty photostream. She does it all with great charm and humor, as well as being one of the best flickr contacts you could wish to meet. You can rely on Ang to be a regular visitor and commentator on your own photostream ...... no idea how she finds the time and energy....... and always managing to provide intuitive observations and feedback. Ah yes, Ang is one of the best.....

I am not sure how I first stumbled across Ang's stream, but I am glad I did. She is such a sound person to know that I am doing something I rarely do; writing a testimonial. Ang's photos are deep, they show her eye for detail in things that certainly I wouldn't see, a whole other world of fascinating stuff. Her photography of New Zealand greenery - ferns and grasses, light and shadows - make subtle patterns which create unique and perfectly exposed compositions. These are things many of us would never see if not for Ang. Certainly I would clumsily crash through the undergrowth, crushing underfoot the delicate and beautiful subjects of her photographs. A photostream filled with wondrous things then, not just green stuff, because but she is also an aviation nut. A shed load of humour, a person who takes time to properly look your photos and makes considered comments and one of the most thoughtful people I have had the pleasure to get to know via the internet, if not, alas, in person (12,000 miles being a long way to go for a Flickr meet....) Hats off, Ang. Ian

I first came across cgullz in the "52 Weeks of Pix". I'm continually impressed by Ang's natural eye for light, particularly with sunsets and sunrises. It's also really encouraging to see the little seagull icon pop up with so many friendly comments about photos too! :-)
