I am part of the non profit organization which invited Louis Palmer to come to Wil on May 20. Palmer was the first person to go around the world in a solarmobile. On his visit to our town, he gave two lectures (to a school class in the morning and at the town lecture hall in the evening). He also took passengers on his solar taxi. (About Louis Palmer and his round the world trip in a solar taxi, see my set here in flickr and his site www.solartaxi.com)

Since 2009 I have been working parttime for two sustainable companies, involved in many different projects.
I am also non professionally involved with the Swiss Solar Energy Society, which started out to inspire the use of all things "solar". In the meantime, it has become evident that other areas such as Minergie Buildings, sustainable transport, etc. have to be developed hand in hand with energy alternatives.
2008 I worked at a recycling company in St. Gallen, Switzerland. They get kitchen sinks, appliances, cupboards, refrigerators from building refurbishments, or modernizations, reprocess, test and sell the collected materials . Apparently only 5 to 10% of the salvageable material is recycled. It was wonderful to work for a project where the sustainability is so pervasive. Nowadays people call that "Urban Mining". It was also non profit.

Now the time has come to reiterate that I do not share all the views that some of my contacts may have. Maybe we share some ideas in common, or appreciate certain architectural concepts, or ecological strategies. This must be stated categorically nowadays. I cannot be held responsible for things which a third party upholds.

Thanks to FAU (Fachverein Arbeit und Umwelt) (2006) I was able to look into the developments in renewable energy and the present climate change situation. Am an active participant of the SSES (Swiss Solar Energy Society : www.sses.ch)
