Ballpoint Art

I'm a relatively new artist. In December 2010 I started putting together a collection of black ballpoint pieces, with a focus on attention to detail and capturing dark and macabre imagery.

The pieces are my vision of organic machinery, and draw influence from nature, insects, robotics, sci-fi, fantasy and horror, and particularly inspired by the works of H. R. Giger. My work is composed entirely using black biro, a functional everyday tool that has the potential for great depth and raw detail when put to more creative use.

I recently exhibited some work at FD2D's Creative Garden Derby, It was loads of fun and I got some great feedback and responses from the people there. I'm now aiming to continue developing and improving my work, and hopefully do some more exhibitions in future.
