Photography has always been part of my day job since I first started work as a junior reporter on the Knutsford Guardian in 1997.

I would always try to think of the best pictures to go with my stories recognising that it was the best way to encourage people to take notice of the words I wrote.

Now aged 31, I have started to take my own photographs and, at the moment, it is giving me more pleasure than just about anything else.
