I have loved photography since I was a kid. I started when I was about 14 with an Olympus OM-10 and a small darkroom at home. I did O'level photography and spent my free time at airports and aviation museums, concentrating on aircraft photography. I moved through OM-2s and an OM-4, and a couple of point-and-shoots, my favourite was the Olympus Mu. At some point, I moved to Nikon for my last wet-film SLR and then had a bit of a hiatus before jumping into digital photography. I started with an Olympus SLR but have finally settled on Nikon and currently use a D800 and a d7200 which I love. I managed to get a low usage second-hand bodies and have slowly collected a few good lenses which have allowed me to play more with wildlife photography.

I really hope my next photographic adventure will be into astro... There is so much to learn about astro and I can't wait to have a play!

I really enjoy looking through other people's photos on Flickr. I find I wonder through their photos and then enjoy their favourites too. It can be a fascinating journey, but can eat time! I would love to be good at taking photos of people and I love the idea of portraiture, but I find the prospect quite intimidating. One day perhaps I will try it, but until then I will stick with old favourites... they are challenging enough!

Finally, I would say thanks to all who have read this far, fav'd or commented on one of my photos... it is always a thrill!!!!

Andy :-)
