I am now in my 60's and retired. My early photostream is mainly of sunsets and landscapes but more recently i have taken an interest in recording my local flora and fauna for the village of Empingham in Rutland in the UK where i have lived for the past 27 years. I have created albums to show the diverse range of insects, wildflowers, trees and animals that i have come across, especially over the past 4 years and tried to get the correct identification of these varied species, but i am sure there will be mistakes made with some of these identifications, so please feel free to correct any you see.

My garden has evolved to be wildlife friendly with a mixture of some of my original garden plants, shrubs and trees joined by and many species of wildflowers which have either naturally occurred or some which i have grown from seed. This mixture of plants gives me the chance to see a huge range of visiting insects, birds and animals which i try to capture with my camera.
