I have always been a "tree hugger" since I was a young kid and always enjoyed looking for birds, mammals and insects.

Over the years I have shot Nikon, Sony and have recently switched to OM Systems and the OM1 MK2 which I find to be a truly remarkable camera. All of the 2025 and 2026 images are with this camera. If you are tired of the weight of full frame, and the price of the lenses then give this camera consideration. The OM "Pro" lenses are just that...Professional image quality easily equal to any of the full frame cameras! The new OM 100-400 Mk 2 is truly and multi purpose lens with excellent image quality. You will commonly see the Micro Four Thirds (MFT) cameras such as the OM Systems camera refer to a 2x equivalent to a full frame camera. Basically that means if you look at the subject in the middle of the image the 400mm MFT lens is equal to a 800mm full frame!! The size of the subject is identical in both formats! So, the 100-400 is a 200-800 mm full frame equivalent for a fraction of the cost of a similar full frame lens!! Adding the OM 2x teleconverter to the lens makes it a 1600mm equivalent with very good image quality (IQ) !!! And MANY pounds lighter!!!!
