Anyone discovering Andy's photostream for the first time will be struck with wonder, such is the magic of Andy's depictions of his beloved forests. I call Andy the "Forest Whisperer" for his ability to create a sense that the beauties he photographs are animated beings, filled with intent and emotion. Beyond the central characters, however, there is a lushness to Andy's forests, we see, feel and almost smell the bracken in the mist, the intricate networks of twigs and branches, the enchanted paths leading ever deeper into the forests of our imaginations. A particular quality I enjoy is the sense of depth Andy creates, the feeling that the image recedes forever, that we are only just touching the surface of an immensity that may only be imagined. Andy's work is profoundly moving and transforms how the viewer understands the world of the forest. Thank you Andy, I love what you do and enjoy each post!!

Often found dedicatedly wandering the woodlands and fields of Oxfordshire in the lonely hours, his passion for finding depth in natural beauty that would pass many of us by is without equal. Andy has the vision and skill to capture the very essence of a scene, to pick out the story and the soul in a single tree or a woodland scene and gives breath to arboreal photographic artistry in each and every shot. Landscape and nature photography with such a specific passion within the chaotic woodland is difficult to pull off yet Andy never fails to deliver a stunning image so full of depth and emotion it is hard to believe that nature intended anything else.
