I live in Leicestershire, England in a pretty village set in rolling countryside.

 

My main areas of photography are street photography, landscape, abstract, urban and film.

 

I find golden hour for photography can be an excellent opportunity to clear your head as well as get decent light. Watching the sunrise at 5am back in time for coffee and toast, or heading out on a warm summers evening to engross yourself in the landscape after a busy day, you can't beat it! You can forget the flotsam and jetsam of day to day things and breath again. It does, however, have a tendency to be a juggling act of dodging the rain and keeping the camera dry. Such is the English weather! No pain, no gain so they say...

 

I love long exposure photography as the resulting image can give you a real sense of a time and the moment. This nearly always ends up with the viewer (you!) becoming part of the photograph.

 

My preference has leaned to the monochrome and street of late and I am really enjoying seeing light in a different way.
