Andy Baxter is a DJ that delivers. With an eight-year stint as Pacha Ibiza’s year-round resident and touring artist under his belt, dance music luminaries like Danny Tenaglia personally requesting him to perform and industry heavyweights such as Defected’s Simon Dunmore drawing on his A&R skills, it’s a well deserved reputation.

At Pacha Ibiza, he is the only DJ to have played every room, covering all genres of music, from Balearic sounds, hip-hop, disco and rare groove to deep, melodic tech house.

2010 saw an increase in demand for his main room sets, as bi-monthly resident for Defected and warm up act for Cadenza, Swedish House Mafia and Subliminal guests M.A.N.D.Y. He also hosted a three-hour Pacha Radio broadcast, on Ibiza Global Radio every Sunday, live from the club’s rooftop terrace.

In addition, Andy also held a highly coveted residency with the legendary We Love… Sundays at Space for the third year, played sunset slots at iconic Ibiza institution Café Mambo for a fourth season and was on-island resident DJ for luxury and VIP event specialists The Shop.

As A&R scout for seminal label Defected, Baxter quickly established himself as a major asset to the company by spotting Tensnake’s Coma Cat, which went on to become one of summer’s most groundbreaking anthems.

Heading into the winter, Andy is embarking on new studio productions and presents own Pacha radio program, The Fix on Ibiza Sonica at 11pm each Friday. Pachatronica, Baxter’s own event, brings a unique, underground element to Pacha and introduces emerging young talent selected by Baxter himself.

Baxter was nominated as Best Ibiza DJ in the Ibiza DJ Awards, and dubbed ‘One To Watch’ by DJ Mag. His diverse taste, extensive musical knowledge and constantly evolving technical skills have seen him tour the globe numerous times over.
