Hi I'm Andy,

 

I'm a keen amateur photographer who would like to take it further. I have always had a mild interest in photography but never used anything more advanced than a basic point and shoot until late summer 2007. When I graduated too a slightly more advanced point & Shoot, that gave me control of Aperture, Shutter and to a limited extent ISO. In December 2008, I finally graduated to a DSLR, a Canon 450D for which I have two lenses (18 - 55mm & 55 - 250mm both with IS)

 

I joined Flickr a wee while back, but did nothing with it untill I was pointed this way again while doing the Open University T189 course (a level 1 Digital photography course). I have 2 other sites I use to show my photos, both of which offer prints for sale.

I have been obsessed with Photography ever since I decided to take photo's to paint from, in spring 2007. Now I hardly get a chance to paint at least I'm still being creative.

and my trusty Photoshop Elements 8

 

* Which my children are now learning some photography skills with.

 

In the short time I've been on Flickr I have received a lot of help and support from other members, and been inspired by their work. I am constantly striving to improve and grow creatively and technically. As I intimated earlier I would eventually like this hobby to become a career.
