Photography has been one of that things you always thought about and one day you start shooting. I've discovered in photography some kind of "way" to think and express what I feel or what I want to remember.
I've started shooting with a simple Canon Point and Shoot camera, then I could afford a Sony EVF - good enough to let me improve my basic skills-. Last year I've got a DSLR, a Pentax K-x that indeed, this camera has been my own tutorial through photography.
I know that people said that you don't need any more camera than a pinhole to make photography, but your learning process will be much better using a camera that allow you see and test what books said.
I process my pictures with software that run on Linux, I've been using Digikam, Shotwell, Darktable and some other open source Photography software. But, I've to say I've tested and used other paid ones, but I prefer to avoid them.
