As I took some photos with a new macro lens the other day, I kept thinking of Andrew and his fabulous shots...intimacy with plants and with nature in general, his commitment to environmentalism and challenging what is comfortably thought of as "ecological and green" --pushing beyond that to the heart of real change. What a wonderful relationship he has with nature, well expressed in his photos.

The thing about Andrew's photos is that they leave me dumbfounded, and always saying things like "golly" or "look at that!" They defy words, and given my lack of talent in the word department, that just makes things doubly difficult for me. He is the master of macro, that's for darn sure. The thing about Andrew's photos is that they leave me dumbfounded, and always saying things like "golly" or "look at that!" They defy words, and given my lack of talent in the word department, that just makes things doubly difficult for me. He is the master of macro, that's for darn sure. He seems to have limitless ability, and I count myself lucky to have the ability to mark his photos as faves so I can go back and ooh and ah over them repeatedly.
