I like projects and tinkering. I'm an electrical engineer by schooling, but I do many things. I worked at a small auto shop as a mechanic for a few years because I find that to be much more fun (because it is always hands on). I built large CNC fabric cutters for a bit (all aspects). I have worked at a local Fab Lab part time, worked in aerospace, and screen printing . I tinker as much as possible. I find design (both aesthetic and technical) to be very interesting. If I was stuck on an island I would bring a jewelers saw (and a lot of replacement blades), blank paper (preferably bound or on a roll), a nice fine technical pen (copic multiliner sp .03mm), a digikey and mcmaster catalog (yes, I sometimes just look through them and read datasheets for fun), some technical reference books (if I could pick one it would be the standard handbook for mechanical engineers) and a calculator (because I am pretty terrible at simple math).
