I am autistic. I live in a glass jar. I am surrounded by friends and family, but their voices are muted, their thoughts well-hidden behind inscrutable expressions and cunning designs. I venture outside, optimistic, yet the world is noisy, smelly, chaotic, and wholly preoccupied with its own importance. Every now and then, though, I can pierce through the fogged and dirty barrier of my jar to see inside a person and connect. Sometimes, a system turns, just so, to reveal its heart.

I get lonely in here. I long to see outside, to run and try and grow. My camera is my glass-cutter. Autism lets me see a little differently, so come see my world as I see it: with all of the dials twisted to 1 or 10.
