In 2003 Andrei Rosetti, Sorin Scurtulescu, Sorin Neamtu, Ciprian Bodea, Dan Gherman and Sorin Oncu, founded the N O I M A (meaning, sense) group of painters. Within the NOIMA group, artistic approaches and aims varied from artist to artist; however, the artists shared a common desire to express spiritual truths through their art. The members of the group are interested in the visual expresion, old master tehniques and the meaning of ancient art but also in the dinamic universe of arts from the last three centuries. They are trying to express over there time boudaries, trying to be “workfellows” with Altamira painters, with Andrei Rubliov, Van Gogh or Luc Tuymans too. NOIMA organized exhibitions since 2004 in western Romania (Arad, Timisoara, Cluj Napoca, Deva, Lipova)
