I would like to have more than one favorite stream. Since that is not offered I am now using my favorite stream for erotic photos and put other types into galleries. I am a 65 year old man living in Coburg in Germany. Until may 2021 I was caring tor my mother which is suffering from moderate alzheimer dementia. In may she was a admitted to a nursing home against her and my wishes. And currently I live alone in her former home.

 

My main photographic Interests are high quality erotic and nude photos, art and museums, travell photography, event photography (mostly the big Samba festival in Coburg), nature, landscape, street photography, blogging my life.

Finally I should mention that I have about 250 Amazing Image groups for everything else. I need another 50 to 250 group administrators to run this group series like it is intended with mostly admin invites. Those groups are mostly on hold because I could not find the admins to help with running those groups.

 

Due to the lack of a willing model I have essentially no nudes or erotic photos in my photostream. Most what I have is private. But you can find a lot of excellent photos in my favorites collection and in the many groups of my “(E) Amazing Image:“ and “The Best only!“ series of erotic photography. The other about 250 groups in my Amazing Image series are supposed to collect the best of all other types of photos with admin invites. But until I finad another 50 to 200 admins not much or nothing at all is happening with those groups.

Equipment changes

I bought a supposedly dead 60D to get a replacement for my damaged tilt and swivel screen. When it turned out it sas not quite dead just quite iunreliable i bought another 60D for fixing my original one. 2021 6 years I decided tI bought a used 5D mk IV . Originally I waited for a Originally I waited for a camera with sensor stabilization. But when they finally got introduced I was not ready to buy one with a 30 min video limit and potential overheating issues.

About my flickr account

It is a big collection of photos and favorites and now an increasing number of galleries. I consider all of those parts important.

  

I tried my lack with creating groups too. But most stayed very small. And instead of the images I wanted in there I got others I did not care about. So most of the groups are now running on autopilot.

 

I am back to actually using and not only possessing a blog. Currently I use it mostly to present newly finished galleries.

my favorites

My favorites have alway improtant to me and to some of my friends tool. Since I recetnly rediscovered flickr and its much improved collection of excellent photos my favoriting went into overdrive. You will notice my latest favorites are mostly people and especially attractive you females. Mostly they are safe or PG reated. But some X rated photos sneak in too.

 

I have high standards for the look of a gallery and am good at finding the images I need for a good gallery. So I managed to produce several very good looking ones.

 

About my photo hobby

I am experienced at taking photos and selecting and processing promising ones to look good. I am now quite content with the look of my flickr photo stream most of the time.

 

For a while I had photo technology as a hobby too. I spend a lot of time learning how digital photo technology actually works and why it performs at the level it does today. I think I have learned pretty much all I need to know and now am impatiently waiting until Canon photo technology comes as close as possible to performance level that the natural laws of physics allow a perfectly designed camera to reach.

 

My equipment

I am mostly using Canon DSLR equipment with the 350D as my first and still working camera. It already has reached about twice the not officially rated shutter life but is still working fine. Added later where a 5D classic and a 60D. My current favorite equipment is the 5D with the 24-105L lens.

 

I´d rather have the modern user interface features of the 5D2.But the classic one is the one I have and for a final lightroom processed and then printed or web published image the image quality difference between both cameras is very minor. The 5D2 can produce much better JPG files than the 5D. But lightroom can do JPG creation even better and is what I use now. With the new processing engine of version 3 the lightroom quality reached and maybe even surpassed what DPP can deliver.

 

I still have and occasionally use my 3 MP Panasonic DMC-FZ3. But only if I have enough light that a P&S sensor camera has a chance to deliver a usable image.

About me

I am a 52 year old German male. A scientist by education and initial profession.

 

I am now mostly recovered from the paralysis from a stroke I had 2 years ago. But still on a termporary disability pension. So right now I have a lot of time to spend on my flickr activities.

 

This year I will have to start to look for a new job or a big consulting contract. Something to do with photography or photo equipment or handling other peoples photos would be nice.

 

And I think I could really contribute something useful to the design of cameras and their user interfaces. But I am in the wrong profession and geographical location. So this likely has to stay just a pipe dream.

  

  

Some necessary rules

Group invitations using the usual invited or admired in group xxx folowed by a tasteless image are no longer welcome in my images.

 

On the other hand I like to see badges that do something useful like showing your 5 latest uploads or the most interesting photos in a group pool. I like to see those in the comments I get. Extra credit goes for presenting a flickriver badge with a useful tag search.

 

I usually honor admin invites into groups. But only if it is a group where I can expect to avoid unwanted badges and which has no mandatory commenting rule.

Recent events spring 2021: You can get an overview if you search for blog or the corresponding set. Since Easter 2021 am neither manic nor depressive for several weeks in a row. Just normal. I achieved this by ending the manic phase with a very low dose of Valproat taking about 500 mg a day instead of the 1000 mg my doctors adviced. And I completely avoided the Seroquel that I should have taken too. I had two manic phases ended by Seroquel. Both where immediately followed by a permanent depression. Valproat did not yet exist during my first manic phase. Unfortunately I got switched from Seroquel to Valproat after the termination of my second manic phase had left me with a new depression.

 

Not quite as recent (during my third manic phase a few months ago):

I am back on Flickr now and more active than ever before. I decided that Flickr was the best place for me to launch my KillCovid campaign. And when I got back to Flickr I was very surprised how much better Flickr had become during my 7 year absence. And the pending queues of many of my 250 groups had 9 years of photos waiting for my approval. And how well many of my groups have developed without any input from me. During my lifelong depression I was very active on Flickr and various photo technology discussion groups in the internet for a few years. During that time I created the quite stunning collection of photos favorites galleries and groups. Many of those groups urgently need moderators to invite photos into the groups. I lost interest in photography due to the inept developers and marketing experts at Canon which invented things like switching from 12 bit to 14 bit raw files when Canon equipment barely created 12 bits of image information. I just kept taking some photos but did not process them or upload any of the to flickr. Many I did not even view after uploading them to my computer. There are now several year of Coburg Samba Festival that I want to present in my flickr account.

 

Now I am back and probably bigger than before. And besides promoting my own and other peoples photography I am using my Flickr presence to launch a campaign against the stupidity of the many people that botched up the very simple job of eradicating the SARS-CoV2 among them Former US President Trump and my own representative for the Deutsche Bundestag parliament Mr. Michelbach. Mr. Michelbac declined my offer of help back in March and April of last year. If he had talked to me and listened to my advice the pandemic in Germany would have ended in spring or summer 2020 instead getting out of control right now in April 2021. With my KillCovid campaign that I started to run on flickr and on my personal homepage andreas-helke.eu - there are a lot more domains reserved and in work. But only andreas-helke.though from finishe is already open in the internet. But so far has been viewed by less than 100 people (2021-04-04)
