I'm amateur and I photograph analogue as well as digital. I do this extremely "old school"- almost completely manually and with old RF- and SLR-lenses — partly from the 30s and 50s.

These old lenses have certain characteristics, which I do not want to miss. Absolute "clinically" sharpness even in all corners does not matter to me. Sharpness is a stylistic device for me, but says nothing about the quality of an image. Often I'm restoring these old lenses by myself (dismantling, cleaning, replacing lubricant, etc.).
