Andrea Fantini è uno skipper italiano con molte miglia alle spalle e un obiettivo molto chiaro davanti a sé: partecipare (e provare a vincere) a regate oceaniche in equipaggio ridotto o in solitario, su Class40. Un percorso finalizzato al grande sogno di ogni navigatore oceanico: la Vendee Globe.

Andrea Fantini racing: a human and sport challenge

In the last few years, Andrea totalized an extraordinary amount of miles sailing across different oceans, reaching the five continents, meeting different cultures and people. He accumulated most of thos miles in international regattas aboard prestigious boats as Class40 and VOR70.

Born in Ferrara, on the Adriatic Sea, begins sailing as a kid with the small family boat. The first Atlantic crossing arrives soon: the 2006 ARC. There starts Andrea's great adventure, taking him up to the present day across thousands of miles, an entire round-the-world with "Maserati" VOR70, the boat skippered by Giovanni Soldini, between speed records and ocean races.

Andrea's dream is that of every sailor that gets dazzled by short-handed ocean races: the Vendée Globe regatta. Also called "The Everest of the Seas", the complete circumnavigation of the globe, single-handed, without stop and assistance.
