My passion towards photography bloomed when I got hold of an old Canon AE-1 Program film camera during my stay in the US about 4 years ago. Initially I learnt the basic techniques of using aperture and shutter speed settings using this camera. Recently, I have started digital photography using a Nikon D90 camera with a 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens and a 50mm f/1.4 lens. This switch-over also made me interested in post-processing using Adobe Lightroom 3. My urge to learn the technical skills and different styles of photography served as a threshold to join Flickr. I had been living in Canberra since last year and I have a desire to develop my own style in photography. Street photography appeal to me the most. It is not only interesting but also challenging for me. Sometimes I still experiment with films. Very recently, I tried my hand on Velvia 50 transparency film and got some interesting night shots. Although I have miles to go in the path of photography, I hope to benefit from my interactions with flickrverse.
