Ana is the type of person that combines an almost infinite amount of facets in a single personality, and that is what makes her a fascinating friend! A clever and intelligent blogger — she keeps several blogs — her opinions range from politics to fashion advice, and in all of these, she's a good writer, with years of online writing experience, and is able to make a point, either on a short paragraph, a news article, or a whole political essay (where she's also active). Writing, however, is just one of the things that Ana does well. She's also got a keen fashion taste, and this has spilled over her virtual life in Second Life — where she's been active a little over a year, and already rose to the top of the competitive fashion pyramid, both as a model and a leading fashion critic — where she not only does excellent reviews, but, true to the market, she's a "kingmaker" on her own, "creating" new brands from talented designers and introducing them in the whole virtual world, rising them out of the mud of indifference. Then she's a talented photographer, as her pictures here on Flickr can show. It's true that most are for fashion reviews, while she also excels on portraits and landscapes. To aid her doing some of the nice poses, she quickly learned how to create animations and poses, and became a prolific animator too. Her ability to quickly learn a tool — whatever it might be — is shown on her new blog, analutetia.com/. In little less than 72 hours, she managed to create a full WordPress installation, import all articles from Blogger, change the template to suit her unique blend of colours and subtle style, add all plugins, and, well, basically create everything from scratch — without having previously seen a WordPress backoffice before. Her keen intelligence makes everything seem ever so simple — no task seems to be for her a challenge! And lastly, there is her social background. Clever, witty, entertaining, and enthusiastic, she's always the queen of the party, but conscious of her duties as a good host, she'll include everybody in the conversation and not leave anyone behind. Her talent in touching people and empathise with them also makes her a good teacher, and combined with her intelligence, allows her to patiently explain things in a very accessible language — which anyone can follow and thus admire her for her innate abilty of communicating complex things in a simple language. All in all, no wonder she was runner-up on the 2007 Avatar of the Year contest :) And, of course, I'm proud of being called her friend!
