Welcome and thankyou for looking in, my collection has grown significantly over the years so I hope it'll offer something of interest to many of you.

With regards to sharing any of my photos on other sites (Facebook, Twitter etc) I'm fine with this as long as a credit is given or a link to the original photo, and the majority who do this are greatly appreciated :-)

Sadly a few people have been using my photos to present as their own, taking the subsequent credit. I don't want to tighten any screws here or obscure photos with watermarks for the sake of the few who don't see image theft as a problem but it is a situation I am unhappy with and will seek redress accordingly.

My photos are more easily navigated by using the collections link: since Flickr has now downgraded this by making it harder to find please use the link below:-

I'm a stained glass artist in my late forties, currently residing at the Warwickshire / Northamptonshire border. I've had a passion for ecclesiastical architecture since a childhood visit to Norwich Cathedral opened my eyes and mind to such wonders.

With this interest it has been rewarding to work as a restorer and designer/painter of stained glass, as this has mainly entailed working with old and new churches, both repair work (inc. Coventry, Llandaff & Tewkesbury) and new design (several churches in the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham).

I now have my own website as a practising stained glass artist here (but I prefer not to be contacted through it for anything Flickr related, please message me instead; I have had several bad experiences that have resulted in those individuals or their numbers being blocked) :-

I have also just made a photo-book of my work, the online version of which can be viewed here:-

False Perspectives

Art & Architecture have long been passions of mine, as well as history, particularly the Ancient World (notably Classical & Egyptian). My photostream therefore leans towards a rather historical/architectural bias.

I also love travelling to see the beautiful things of the World and have been lucky enough to have enjoyed a variety of foreign travels; I am somewhat addicted to photographically recording every place I visit, all of which I hope to eventually reflect in my photostream.

Means of travel is often rather complex for me as I don't drive (I'm too easily distracted and would likely be something of a liability behind a wheel, where you can't always afford to turn and think 'Oh look at that church.over there...'!! etc) My visits are either by bike, on foot, public transport (had some horror stories there!) or courtesy of friends and family who do drive!

Flickr is a great way to share the many sights I've enjoyed with like minded people, as well as a fantastic resource for exploring and learning from the travels and photos of others.

I love Aidan's work, reminiscent of the flowing nature of Thomas Hart Benton, but more sophisticated.

Aidan's work here on Flickr shows his love and knowledge of English churches; their glass and architecture. It was great to meet him in person at an "Oxfordshire Churches" Flickrmeeting. I can see that his work and comments will be of great value to all his contacts. We look forward to an ever expanding photostream.
