My name is Marco Bijmans, and I am an aviation photographer from the Netherlands. Aviation photography has been an important part of my life for many years. I started without any formal photographic training and developed my own style through experience, patience and, above all, learning how to observe.

In my photography, I look for more than simply documenting an aircraft. Light, colour, movement, composition and the character of a distinctive livery all contribute to the final image. Every airport, airline and weather condition brings its own story.

On this Flickr account, I share a selection from my extensive aviation archive—from modern aircraft and colourful liveries to aircraft and airlines that have since disappeared from the skies.

I am currently working on my own aviation photography book, *AVIATION IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT*. It presents my personal view of aviation through light, colour and moments that sometimes last only a few seconds.
