My equipment:

Nikon D80 DSLR

18-135 Kit lens

60mm Nikkor prime

70-300VR Nikkor Telephoto

I used to have a Panasonic FZ50, which I no longer own, but some pictures taken with that lovely camera still survive in flickr.

I believe that everything has it's beauty. How ugly it may look, it is you who has to find that beauty in it. And it is ur job to capture that and show it to the people who haven't seen it.

A good friend of mine says, 'photography is art, and art has chemistry no grammar. So there are no set of rules that *will* work for you always. The chemistry works for different people differently. Some like your art, some doesn't.' I follow

this philosophy.

Most of my photographs are with natural lighting, simply because I don't have a studio of my own. I don't have expensive lights and soft boxes.

All the people you see here are common people, friends and family, or unknown strangers.

Almost all the portrait photographs are candid shots, only a few are not, and you can make out. Candids are what I think brings out the expression real and unadulterated.

I don't use photoshop beyond a level of basic correction. I don't synthesize images, if I ever do it, I will mention it for that photo.

I always had problems expressing myself to people, my philosophy never seemed to match anyone's bandwidth, thanks to my camera now I have a better chance. Some people see a glass half filled,, others see the same glass as half empty, it is a matter of perception. Now I can take a picture and write something about what I see in it.

Hell! Charlie Chaplin never could make me laugh, I can't imagine why people can't control their giggles when they see a man eat his own shoe!!!! I haven't seen a greater expression of love in a man's face than Charlie's when he willingly let the blind flower seller undo his entire sweater, just because he didn't want to say 'NO'.

I see life differently, may be I am paranoid. I want to bring those expressions out, I will start uploading my street photos here shortly.

*** What you see here, is not what my camera sees, but what my soul sees. In Flickr you see my soul. ****

An image doesn't end with a camera, it starts with it.

"Well, to write for someone who so carefully maintains his complicated outlook is quite difficult, and a challenging task. For his images portray his simple thought process, the slightly different point of view. He is not the kinds to go for cliche images, maybe the thought process, but not the composition. Whenever he tried to do something cliche, and done so very often.. I found the absence of soul, in others where he tries to portray his vision, I can relate to instantly. Maybe not a pro, but a thorough artist for me!!!"
