Arizona kid, eternal amateur.
Moved to Flickr in June, 2021 and so pretty much everything here was shot with my Nikon D7500. I bought my first "real" 35mm camera when I was 17, somebody's old knock-around Petri FTX that I would take to the woods chasing sunsets and thunderheads. I got into photo and yearbook in high school where I was issued my own Pentax K-1000 and as much Ilford HP5 as I could use. I would eventually move on to the Nikon FM-10 and Pentax ZX-M.
My first digital camera was a Sony F828; in 2012 I got a Nikon D5100 and in 2021 finally the D7500. That said, I've never been much about the gear, but I love the camera as a life-enhancer and traveling companion. On some of my travels the camera takes the lead, and on others I take it out only when I have time to spare. It seems happy with either. I am very lucky to have the technologies and opportunities to find and shoot the things I do, and to share them as re-interpreted things to show back to the world. I can't say exactly why I do it or why it's fun but it brings me joy and that's good enough.
