A hobbyist photographer, self-taught. Photography is a certain kind of escapism for me.
A couple of years ago I suddenly decided to buy some relatively expensive DSLR equipment (surely for me) and I never regretted since. Love shooting nature, animals (birds especially) and landscapes. And love conversation about how to make one's photo even better, sharing experiences etc. :)
As for post processing, Canon's Digital Photo Professional and GIMP is my choice.
