Es gibt hunderttausende Häuser und sie vermehren sich wie eine Plage, wie ein Krebsgeschwür über das Land.

Erwin Wurm

As you can see, I love to take photos of urban scenes, buildings, (post-)industrial sites, etc. I have lived, studied, and taught in quite a few different places in Germany and in the U.S. These days I use flickr mostly as a travel diary - some job related, some not - which means that I also upload pictures that are documentary; i.e. I don't only showcase what I consider my best shots. I regularly update the albums of the different places that I've lived in or that I seek out on a regular basis - from Frankfurt to Tuscaloosa, from Zeche Zollern to Sloss Furnaces - so that I think my albums are worth checking out from time to time.

Flickr has always been fun to me because it allows me to look at photographs by dedicated photographers from all over the planet and because it also allows me to engage in a bit in virtual talk with other photographers every once in a while.

Dieser Text ist auf Englisch, da flickr eine internationale Community ist - außerdem schreibe ich, beruflich bedingt, sowieso fast nur englische Texte...

I call on her stream regularly, since it is always worth revisiting. Keep on the great work, Mon!
