This photo stream is all about celebrating femme clothes through a feminine persona.
Over the last few years I have tried every style including the likes of pencil skirts and 50s style dresses. However, I have my favourite styles which I now wear exclusively and this photo stream has been updated to reflect that. Styles that I tried and decided were not me have been purged off this photo stream.
My favourite length has always been ankle skimming or maxi, followed by hems that finish above the knee, usually by a few inches. Skirts are my favourite garment to wear in these lengths, but I also like dresses and wear culottes and divided skirts in long lengths.
I don't dress unless I can complete the entire look in a way that allows me to go out and be confident in doing so. I go out during the day and evenings as often as I can. While I get a lot of pleasure being dressed indoors, nothing beats being out and about and mixing with the general public. I am in my female persona the majority of the time but cannot claim to be 24/7.
I judge and enjoy the company of people through who they are and how they present themselves, irrespective of what gender and/or persuasion they are or claim to be. Whereas, I visited venues where I could meet others like myself when I started out on this journey, that is no longer the case and I go out to shops, restaurants and public houses frequented by the general public. I find myself being accepted as I appear and have made many acquaintances and friends along the way.
I love these phrases that were taken from someone called Lacey Leigh at the turn of the century and used on someone else's profile. They just strike such a chord with me, I thought I'd 'borrow' them as well:
I am not emulating femininity, I am expressing it.
I am not pretending, I am experiencing.
I am not imitating, I am exploring.
I am not copying, I am celebrating.
