I am an amateur photographer from Jackson, TN, trying to become a professional. I currently attend The Art Institute of Pittsburgh (online division), for my bachelor's in Photography, where I hope to graduate by 2012. I received my Associate's in Graphic Design at Jackson State Community College on May 3, 2008.

Photography is my passion. I hope to open my own studio someday. Right now, I am satisfied with doing photography on the side, while working as a Cashier at Cracker Barrel and attending school full-time.

I specialize in Nature and Children's photography, but I have done modeling photography for a singer / songwriter, where my work was published on his CD cover. I have also done couples photography and maternity sessions, as well as created business cards and designs for individuals and radio stations.

I also dabble in painting and drawing. I have been practicing art since I was old enough to walk, when I decided I wanted to be just like my uncle, who is a self-taught artist, photographer, and graphic designer.

I decided to join Flickr! as a way to get critique and advice on my work. The only way I can improve is to see what I'm doing wrong. I want to learn everything I can about photography and graphic design. I hope to do that here.

Update: I have recently bought a new Nikon D3000 SLR camera. I am absolutely in love with it. I cannot quit taking pictures now...even more than before. I am constantly changing the settings to see what each thing does. I almost have it figured out. Any advice would be greatly apprecaited on using this camera. Please leave critiques on my photos.
