I am 75yo, widowed with 2 grown children, 3 grandchildren; several godchildren/grand-godchildren. I battled Hodgkin's Disease (Lymphoma cancer) since being diagnosed in 2005; and in September 2015 I was declared to be cured of my cancer! In 2016 I was diagnosed with Squamous cell mucosa on the inside of my cheek. Surgery, followed with 30 radiation treatments, have removed the cancer. Only time will now tell if it is completely gone. But I am very lucky to have successfully fought & won against cancer twice. I hope there is no more in my future.

I have always loved photography, but it really took off when I got my first digital camera (Nikon Coolpix). About a year later I got a Nikon D40. I have added a couple lenses and a great deal of knowledge & experience. Still so much to learn but I shoot mainly in manual these days. I enjoy nature photography but stray across all areas. In January 2018 I upgraded to a Nikon D7500 which has been fun learning to use.

My wife of 32 years, passed in 2016 but we loved to capture our adventures in photographs.
