For someone as Debian-obsessed as Amaya is, it is fitting that I met her at Debconf 2. It was the best Debconf I've ever been to. Mostly because that's the only Debconf I've been to so far. But it was made incredibly pleasant by Amaya's awesomeness. In fact, the only reason I have a picture of myself there is because she was taking pictures of us sitting on concrete walls in a York University residence. My memories of Amaya were those of her smoking (constantly), chatting (constantly), and smiling (constantly). I hope to see her again some day.
