I am originally from America. I converted to Islam when I was 15 years old in San Francisco, CA. Masha'Allah!! I chose to wear the hijab(Islamic head covering) the very day I converted to Islam. Masha'Allah!! Had I been allowed to remain in SF I would hae worn the niqab(face veil) immediatly. However in Sheridan, WY my hometown trust me the hijab and abaya was ENOUGH!! Subhana'Allah!! As soon as I moved to the Middle East I immediatly wore the niqab. Allahu Akbar!! My choice, not my husbands or some stupid government. And I am so proud and honored to wear the niqab. Allahu Akbar!! I am the only Muslim in my family. A few months after I converted I met my husband online at Yahoo!. My annoying parents didn't let me move to Syria with him until 1 month before my 18th birthday. We have been together happily for a year. We are now living in Cairo. The rest of my family lives in America. My mother's father and his family are straight from the Ukraine. Her mother's family is from Ireland. My father's mother is Native American, we are realted to Pochahontas(believe it or not). His father's family was straight from Germany. So, in case you are wondering, I have no "Arab genes" in my blood or family's history. I love animals and I believe in animal rights probably more than I believe in human rights. Humans can help themselves but animals need EVERYONES help, love, and care. In fact when I was in America I only bought Dawn Dishsoap because it is the only soap that can be used to clean animals after tragic oilspills in the ocean. Sadly they don't have it here in Egypt. I am a neat freak and everything is so organized. If my husband doesn't put something back where it belongs I go crazy on him. My home smells like a big inscence shop I burn it so much. I think we spend like 200 Egyptian pounds on inscence a month. Speaking of my hometown, when I was there I left my highschool and got my GED because the school wouldn't allow me to wear hijab. In America that is SO ILLEGAL but in Wyoming they really don't care. Wyoming is the LEAST POPULATED state in America. Alaska has more people living in it's borders!!! Wyoming is the 9th largest state in America. No one there has any brains(no offense but it is SO TRUE).
