多次的往来穿梭与一路行走，有了这本《狂走日本》(上海文艺出版社)。这次用中文写成，传达的却是作为双语作家的他对异域文化的微妙体验。(摘选于《北京晚报》)
I am Mao,someone calls me"Amao",a traveller,looking for the entire contents of Japan by photos!
After having gone to many different Japanese art garlley at Tokyo,and what not,I did find myself wanted to express the images for well-known magazines in China. And,it dealt with fantasy,it dealt with my travel!
I am now in Japan,due to works there.
人間の生活には色彩が欠かせない。個人的には、うっとりするような不可思議な謎が包まれていて、鮮やかに感じられる色がいいと思っている。できれば、その色への幻想に浸らせてくれて、視覚上の喜びを覚え、見終えたときにああ素晴らしかったと思えれば、なおさらいい。（拙文「旅の色」・『旅』月刊誌連載より）
