I am from the US!
I am happily married to my childhood crush. I still get weak in the knees when I see him walk in the room. I met him at a horse show when I was nine and I told everybody that I met the boy I was going to marry, and I did! Sometimes life ends up just the way you wanted it and the reality is so much better than the dream.
I have been competing with various horses since I was two years old. Horses are my passion and I am forever glad to each one who has shared a bit of their lives with me. I currently have 2 horses a 42 Standardbred mare I have had since I was 12 - we adopted her so that she would die in a non-abusive home. Well I fell in love with her (see the theme here?) and my mom used all of our "horse buying" money to save the old lady. That was 18 years ago and she and I have accomplished some pretty cool things together. And lest we not forget Comette who has been mine since the moment she was conceived. I owned her mom and chose her dad as carefully as I chose my own mate. She is stunning and cunning... And everything I could have ever asked for!
I have a cat that I fell head over heals in love with and when I found out she was a stray she came to spend her life with me (yup it's a reoccuring theme here) she sleeps squarely on my husbands chest at night - sometimes I feel bad for him with me on his shoulder and legs and Tiki on his chest and face he can't sleep well.
Our home is decorated in a very ecclectic style... Whatever strikes our fancy and makes us smile is invited in. I think homes are for making people happy! Jim is a storyteller so anything that is story related OR has a story to it ENTHRALLS me. I am not a fan of getting presents but LOVE to shop for/make for other people, Swap-bot allows me to do that and Jim loves to open the new surprises! It's a win win situation... Plus happy mail is always a good thing!

Joy is such a beautiful person! She's a very good crafter and above all a special friend. I've never met her in person but I'm sure one day I'll have enough money to go to the US to know her :) Thank you Joy for being my friend :)
