Drag to set position!
I have had a point and shoot camera (whether it be a 35mm film, or digital) since I was a kid. The hobby has now become an obsession.
I shoot things as I see them, so you could probably say my style is photojournalistic. My family members say I'm the "papparazzi" of the family because I shoot a lot of candids. I love taking photos of children as they play - they can be so much fun.
I have photographed weddings and events. I have done landscapes and urban street shots. I'll confess that posed portraiture is not my strength, but I'm working on it.
My primary camera is a Nikon D200 (10.2 megapixel) digital SLR with a battery grip. The 18-200VR lens is my working lens and I also have the SB-800 Flash. The camera has been a joy to use. Fast and responsive, it rarely misses a step with my frenzied and often bursty shooting style. I still plan to get some high speed zooms (and a couple primes) as my experience grows.
My heavily used backup camera is a Pentax K100D (6 megapixel) digital SLR camera. I use this camera to take my creative (or "artistic") shots. For this camera I have 9 lenses that collectively cover focal ranges from 10-210 mm. I also have a AF-540 FGZ flash (Never go cheap with lighting! I get the best I can afford!). I am still on the boat as whether to keep or dump my Pentax gear as my Nikon gear grows. The 10-17mm fisheye is so fun, and my two 50mm lenses are simply a joy, but to be able to shoot using a Full-Frame sensor, with an old, manual-focus prime lens would be so fun (come on, Pentax! What is taking you so long?!)
