UPDATE . . . June 1, 2014 . . .

 

I am in Varanasi now and working on some photos from along the ghats. Also been attending the night-time ceremony along the Ganges and getting some great people photos. Hope to add more on here in the next few days. I've been on the road since May 5 and kind of tired - been to Delhi, Leh, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Amritsar, Kolkata and now Varanasi - returning back to my NGO this Friday. It will be great to get a few days rest before getting back to work with the kids on June 10. The photos I have posted on here are just a few from the different places - I have so much more that I will be working on in the coming months then getting them on here. Just wanted to thank you guys for appreciating them.

 

UPDATE . . . January 28, 2014 . . .

 

Less than a month and I will be heading out. If I wasn't waiting to file my taxes, I'd be gone by now. Can't wait !

 

UPDATE . . . December 14, 2013 . . .

 

All of my plans are finalized for my upcoming trip to Ahmedabad, India. For over six months I will be volunteering with Manav Sadhna, associated with the Gandhi Ashram, starting March 2014.

 

Besides working with slum kids and their families, I am really looking forward to sharing the people, places and adventures with you through my photographs.

UPDATE . . . May 18, 2013 . . .

 

Dad passed away on May 9 and things have been a little hectic making arrangements and having some of our family over. But I have been doing a few updates on photos to get my mind off of it a little. Tomorrow, I will be taking a few days to drive down to New Orleans (about 8 hours away) and the Mississippi Gulf coast (about an hour more) to start taking more photos. I'm hoping for some decent weather, but down here weather is rather unpredictable. Let's see what happens . . .

Temporarily out of touch. Dad is sick and in the hospital. Things aren't going so well. I'll let you know when I have returned. Thanks for all your comments in my photo stream.

Just got my new camera, Canon EOS Rebel T4i, and already posting photos using it. Nothing negative to say about it. Great to get back to taking photos again.

All my current photos were taken during my traveling days between 1974 and 1988 on a variety of cameras utilizing Kodachrome film and later were scanned and stored on a flash drive.

 

Obviously, I am not a professional photographer. A lot of my photos are not as focused as I would have liked, but back in the day you took a photograph and hoped for the best when you had them developed. A lot of my photographs were not even developed for several years after I took them, so the quality was not the best even at that point.

 

I am not trying to make excuses for my photos, just giving an explanation.

 

I hope you enjoy them and request your comments.
