Hello all,

I am an amateur photographer from Germany, but have spent many years living abroad plus visited many great places on vacation, many of which you can find on my photostream.

From a photographic viewpoint, I have started out as a youngster first with a point-and-shoot, then with a borrowed analog Canon F1 (Olympic Edition Montreal 1976). Alas, I was not patient enough at that time to learn and gave up after some years.

After quite some photographically inactive time lag in between I then refound my passion about 10 years later in 2008 with a superzoom bridge camera, the Panasonic FZ28. This really got me infected again and I bought my first DSLR, a 7D classic in 2010. In 2014, I upgraded to the 5D Mark III, mainly because I realized that my main photographic subjects have changed and I take a lot more family portraits (not on Flickr) these days. Very happy with my decision so far.
