Delightful Pen (deleted)

I first got to know Yongxin when i saw his bold use of bright colours and high saturation in his abstract shots in ClubSnap. Bold but i didn't say it is not good. Really nice stuff, no joke! He also gave me good advice on the 105mm VR macro when i couldn't make up my mind between this lens and the 18-200VR. A… Read more

And it was the right, the 105mm VR macro is super solid and this lens actually makes me realise the difference between a good lens and a normal lens. The colours, the build... is totally different. Though i sell the lens later on, but it doesn't mean our communication is lost. We still drop a mail or 2 or msn sometimes and give sincere comments on each others' shots. Hoho. Anyway, trust me, his stuff are good. In streets, macro and abstract in particular. Like he mentioned, to see nice stuff from imperfection.

I first "met" Yong Xin online when he posted up photos taken with his H5 in a local photography forum website. I can't remember which one it was, but from day one, I was impressed and envious of his ability to see simple things in our lives in an entirely different and interesting light. Yong Xin's shots are, to me, the minimalistic type - one would infer that he does not like clutter in his life (I hope I'm right, hehe). But minimalistic never means simple, and with his creative use of bold colours, contrasting elements and very solid composition, each and every of his photographs tells a loud story. Keep shooting, my friend! We (yes, not just me, definitely) love your photostream! =)
