Despite the fact that Paige and I are almost polar opposites as photographers we still have this odd, undefinable something that pretty much makes us photo-soul mates. Especially since I just made that word up. She has such a fresh, open, creative outlook on photography that by simply talking to her about it I feel more inspired. By that I mean Paige constantly challenges me to do something new and different, she challenges me to keep believing in myself as a photographer and keep pushing the boundaries of photography. Even within the realms of traditional black and white street photography she has challenged me to loosen up and be my own person photographically speaking. She's inspired me to pick up the long lenses again and photograph wildlife-a passion I let slip by the wayside. I use a camera like a weapon but she uses one like a pen-the stories she writes are vaguely familiar. Her photos might be portraits of people who are complete strangers to me and yet they seem totally and naturally as if I know them. Paige maintains a zest and a spark for photography that most people don't have. She's one of those photographers who has talent, desire, and ingenuity instead of being one of many "photographers" who have the latest camera but can't produce anything other than cliches. It's always a pleasure to look at Paige's photos, I'm glad we've become friends outside of Flickr and I look forward to seeing where she goes both photographically and as a person for she is amazing at both. :)
