"The camera doesn't make a bit of difference. All of them can record what you are seeing. But, you have to see." -Ernst Haas
(A response to my 2.1MP digital camera. I love it.)
"When viewers look at my painting, they rarely ask me what brushes and paints I used. However, when people look at my photographs, they tend to ask, "What lenses did you use? What film is that? Did you retouch it on the computer?" Probably they think that the credit of a good painting should go to the painter, while the photographic and computing equipment did the work in photography. Some of them even go further to think that if they have the same equipment, they can make the same pictorial effect. Actually, better equipment does not necessarily produce a better picture, although it increases the chances of creating a good photograph."

Always creative and original, allsop has a keen eye and great ideas. Looking at his work makes *me* want to shoot more, and this is a very good thing. Flickr is lucky to have him as a contributer, and Ottawa and its residents should be grateful he spends time being creative here!! I know I am.

Mr. All (as I call him) is one mellow dude. Or so it seems on the Net. ;) What I like most about him is the Balance he exudes. Personal responsibility while also having fun. His Photography also reflects this Balance. From a strong Artistic Shot that sits up there with the best of them - to a Random Shot that lets us get a glimpse of his life and those around him. Thats the sign of a good person and artist - the ability to straddle different ideas with ease. All of us should take a page out of this type of Balance. Cheers to you All.
