In the words of that immortal philosopher, Popeye the Sailor Man, " I yam what I yam." And in the words of Ally, "Deal with it." Not all girl - but certainly not all boy, either.

But something in-between is not permitted in society. We are immediately classified by our genders. And we better live up to those gender standards, or we are freaks. So maybe I'm a freak. I found a way to straddle that line - to be both boy and girl - usually - outwardly - strictly one or another. But always, inwardly - a little of each. I've come to accept who I am - in fact, I've come to embrace who I am - as an intergendered person. I don't consider myself a cross-dresser - because that's a ridiculous simplification more suitable to men who like to wear women's clothing. I don't consider myself a fetishist - because while there can certainly be an erotic element to gender presentation, after all these years, simply putting on female clothes is not a turn-on to me. And I'm not an aspiring transsexual - although I know a lot of transsexuals believe that is the natural progression for anyone who is serious about their own transgendered nature. I refuse to take anyone else's labels about me to heart. At this point, I'll define myself, thank you very much.
