Hello members of the universe...or flickrverse...or whatever.

So, I joined flickr because there was an explorica photo contest and I wanted to enter some photos I took in France.

Then I realized how many of my friends did 365s and I followed everyone's progress for the rest of that year, thinking it was cool but not much else. But then New Year's Eve rolled around and people were finishing their year off and I was strangely inspired. So I thought about it and by the next evening, I had decided to embark on my own photographic journey. I flipped through what I had posted on my flickr and noticed that I never took photos of myself and that self-portraits were what I found most difficult. So I decided to take 365 of them.

I have to say, it's gotten a lot easier, but I am so excited to never have to take a photo of myself again.

I love dogs and macros and I have this problem where I'm obsessed with picnik softening and I oversoften every single one of my portraits, but...whatever.

Also, my descriptions are kind of like blog posts...sorry but it's the one mode of expression that I've had every day.

So yeah. If you'd like, you can flip through my life. 2011 was an eventful year, including the worst day of my life and some really good ones too.
